2. Providing rapid, reliable and user-friendly statistics to meet the needs of government-level development planners, policy-makers, research and educational institutions, national and international organizations and other users.


3. Conducting surveys in various socio-economic areas of the country to produce correct, accurate and timely statistics;

4. Undertake all activities for population census, agricultural census, fisheries and livestock census, economic census and other censuses and surveys;
